Our Love Turned Into Friendship

This article is from the German tabloid magazine Bravo.

We're not sure if this article is completely true or not. If you look closely you can see that the pictures of ManDUH are EXACTLY the same. Her clothing creases, hair, body position and everything are the same. Then again, knowing Shmandy and being the dumbass she is, she probably stood perfectly still to take both pictures. Who knows?!

What you are about to read has been translated into english.

She had always liked the Backstreet Boys and especially cute Nick Carter, 19. There's hardly a concert that Stefanie, 18, from Offenburg hasn't seen, hardly a tour she hasn't been to. For years she has been following her idols - even to America. "Sometimes of course, the guys became aware of me..."
What millions of girls dream of - it became reality for Steffi: a friendly and close relation to the BSB. Especially the contact to Nick has been important for her.
Whenever possible, she spent time with him. "When he started dating Mandy like two years ago, it was at first a little shock for me," confesses Steffi, "but I've tried to accept the love between them."
That turned out well. Mandy, 18, gave her trust and between the both of them, developed a friendship as well. "Everytime the BSB were in Germany, I called Mandy and she told me any news about the boys," Steffi says, "Even though I, of course, didn't want to ask her about Nick all the time because this would have been embarrassing for me." But this wasn't necessary because Mandy told a lot herself. "I found out early about the tensions between them. The reasons for them on the one hand, Mandy didn't always want to stand back, but also concentrate on her own career. And on the other hand Jane Carter (Nick's mom) was against Mandy because she thought her son would still be too young for such a relationship."
Sad climax of disagreements: In Ruskin, Nick found out that Mandy had cheated on him when she once wasn't on tour in Europe with him. Steffi found out.
"Nick was about to believe that stuff and break up with Mandy. But two weeks later everything turned out good and they were alright again."
But then the definite break-up followed a few weeks ago.
Steffi: "When I heard about that I was totally shocked and couldn't believe it at all."
In December Steffi flew to Ruskin together with her mother and two-year old sister Denise to visit Mandy and to exclusively ask her for BRAVO about the reasons for the break up.
On the scene Steffi is caught by a sensational surprise: Just when she arrives in front of the house of the Family Williford (Mandy's parents), Nick and Mandy come laughing out of the door. Not a trace of a break up nor alleged enmity. "I could hardly believe my eyes because in Germany I had read that Nick was mad at Mandy and had broken up with her because she only used him."
When the three of them welcomed each other, Steffi confronts him with the bad rumors and shows Nick the newspaper articles she brought with her. "He was totally getting upset and complained loudly about that no word of that story would be true." It's for real that he broke up with Mandy, but their love turned into a wonderful friendship.
Nick even lives with Mandy at the moment because he wants to spend a lot of time in Florida to support Mandy's career. It's said that he has sold his own house in Apollo Beach already again. "Also, Nick gets along very well with Mandy's mom Donna and the Willifords treat him like he was their own son."
After all the things Steffi has heard, it's hard to believe that Nick and Mandy aren't going out anymore. The only indication, they took off the engagement ring they both used to wear.
*Note, to all the teenyboppers exploding right now. Their rings were NOT engagement rings, they are just promise rings. Stop peeing your pants!*
"Anyway, I still believe that they have another chance," Steffi says. And who knows, maybe the friendship will turn into love again?
